Why does dyshidrotic eczema cause itchy feet?

Inflammation can cause clusters of very small, deep-seated blisters on the soles, sides of the feet, or between the toes. Before the blisters are obvious, the skin may tingle, burn, or itch intensely. As the episode settles, the surface may dry, crack, or peel, which can keep the itch going and create openings for irritation. Heat, sweating, friction, stress, and contact with irritating substances may aggravate symptoms, although triggers vary.

Wash with lukewarm water and a fragrance-free cleanser, then pat the feet dry carefully, including between the toes. Apply a plain moisturiser to dry areas and choose breathable socks and shoes.
