Why does cervical dysplasia cause bleeding after sex?

Cervical dysplasia means that cells on the cervix have changed. The altered area may have a delicate surface and small blood vessels that bleed with friction during penetration. Bleeding can appear as spotting on tissue, underwear, or after intercourse. Cervical dysplasia itself may cause no symptoms, so bleeding after sex needs an examination rather than a conclusion based on the symptom alone.
