What is reverse shoulder replacement done with?

In a conventional shoulder, the upper-arm ball meets a socket in the shoulder blade. A reverse replacement switches this arrangement: a rounded component is fixed to the shoulder-blade side, while a concave component is attached to the upper-arm side. This design can let other shoulder muscles help raise the arm when the rotator cuff cannot provide normal support.
