Vicks for boils: what to know

A boil is a tender, inflamed lump that forms around an infected hair follicle and may collect pus. Vicks can make skin feel coated, but it does not reliably clear the infection or empty the pocket beneath the skin. Its strong ingredients may also irritate broken or inflamed skin.
