TROP2 and triple-negative breast cancer

Triple-negative breast cancer lacks three commonly measured receptors, so hormone therapies and some HER2-directed treatments are not used for it. TROP2-directed treatment attaches to TROP2, enters the cell, and releases its drug payload. The result may be considered alongside tumour stage, previous treatment, symptoms, general health, and other pathology findings. Your report may use terms such as positive, negative, or intensity; ask the team how its wording applies to your case.

Call your oncology team promptly for fever, breathlessness, chest pain, severe vomiting or diarrhoea, a new rash with swelling, marked weakness, or signs of infection. Seek emergency help for severe breathing difficulty, fainting, confusion, or uncontrolled bleeding.
