Soolantra is a topical form of ivermectin used for inflammatory bumps and spots associated with rosacea. The word purge is often used online for a temporary worsening, but it is not a diagnosis. Burning, stinging, dryness, scaling, or a spreading rash can point to irritation or sensitivity instead. A flare can also be caused by heat, alcohol, spicy foods, stress, skincare products, or a different condition.
