SmartXide DOT is a branded fractional CO2 laser platform. Its dot pattern creates small areas of treated skin separated by untreated tissue, allowing the clinician to vary coverage and depth. It may be used for selected texture changes, fine lines, sun-related damage, or acne scars. The device name alone cannot predict the result: the treatment plan also depends on your skin tone, body area, scar characteristics, and tendency to develop prolonged redness or pigmentation.

At consultation, mention active acne, dermatitis, infection, cold sores, recent tanning, medicines, and any history of raised scars or dark marks after injury. Follow instructions about skincare before the session. Afterward, the skin may feel hot and tight and may show redness, swelling, pinpoint crusting, or peeling. Use the recommended gentle care, do not remove crusts, and shield the area from sunlight. Wait for clinical approval before makeup, shaving, exfoliation, or retinoid use.

Call the provider if pain or swelling is worsening, redness is spreading, blisters or pus-like drainage appear, or the treated surface is not closing as expected.
