Silent Miscarriage Symptoms at 11 Weeks

A missed miscarriage means the pregnancy has stopped developing but bleeding has not begun. Some people notice reduced nausea, breast tenderness, or fatigue; others still feel pregnant. Spotting, cramps, or discharge can occur, but these symptoms have several possible causes and do not establish a diagnosis. At this stage, an ultrasound checks development and cardiac activity. Contact your pregnancy care team if symptoms change or you are anxious, and attend the recommended scan. Do not use the presence or absence of pregnancy symptoms to judge the outcome. If a miscarriage is confirmed, ask about waiting for the tissue to pass, medicines, or a procedure, along with pain relief, bleeding expectations, and follow-up. Give yourself permission to seek emotional support; this is a pregnancy loss, regardless of how many symptoms you had.

Get urgent care for heavy bleeding, severe or one-sided pain, faintness, dizziness, shoulder pain, fever, chills, or foul-smelling discharge. These symptoms may indicate significant bleeding, infection, or an ectopic pregnancy and need prompt assessment. If you have any bleeding or pain at 11 weeks, contact your maternity or gynaecology team for advice rather than relying on symptom patterns.
