RRS Skin Booster: What to Know

RRS products can differ in ingredients and intended use, so the clinician should identify the exact formulation before treatment. Injection sites may include the face, neck or another approved area. The goal is usually a more hydrated, smoother-looking surface, not a major change in facial shape.

Small raised bumps, redness, bruising, tenderness or swelling can appear at injection points. These effects often settle as the skin recovers, but the plan should include what is expected and what is not. Hyaluronic acid may be present in some injectable products, but a skin booster is not automatically interchangeable with a hyaluronic acid filler.

Share your medical history, allergies, medicines, previous filler reactions, active skin problems and tendency to cold sores. Avoid treatment through infected or inflamed skin. Follow the clinic's advice about makeup, exercise, heat and sun after the injections, and do not massage treated areas unless instructed.

Ask to see the product label and confirm its intended area, storage and practitioner qualifications. If your concern is sun-damaged skin, treating injections will not replace daily sun protection or assessment of changing lesions.

Call the clinic if swelling, pain, redness or warmth is increasing, or if you notice discharge or a persistent firm nodule. Seek emergency help for breathing difficulty, facial or throat swelling, vision changes, severe headache or unusual pale, dusky or mottled skin.

Ask which RRS formula is planned, why it suits your skin, how many visits may be considered, what downtime to expect, and whether a non-injectable option is more appropriate. Clarify the emergency contact pathway before leaving.
