Ringworm medicine for the scalp: what treatment involves

Scalp ringworm can cause itchy scaling, broken hairs, patches of hair loss or tender swelling. The infection involves hair-bearing tissue, so a product designed only for the skin surface may not clear it by itself. Other scalp problems, including inflammatory conditions, can resemble it; examination helps guide the choice of medicine.
