What should you know about rhinitis itchy eyes?

Allergic rhinitis can cause sneezing, a runny or blocked nose, and an itchy palate. Allergic conjunctivitis may cause itching, watering, redness, and puffy eyelids. Symptoms can flare after exposure to pollen, house dust mites, animal dander, or other airborne particles. Itchy eyes are a common presentation of allergic conjunctivitis, but this symptom can also occur with irritation or infection. Burning pain, thick discharge, or a one-sided problem may suggest a different cause.

Try not to rub your eyes, as rubbing can increase swelling and irritation.
