How to remove lip filler safely

Removal is not one identical process for every product. Hyaluronic Acid Filler can often be targeted with an injected enzyme, but the clinician first needs to identify what was used, where it was placed and whether the concern is swelling, migration, a lump or a change in shape.

Lip Fillers can look uneven while swelling settles. Dissolving too early may remove more product than intended, while waiting may be reasonable when there are no warning signs. A review helps separate expected healing from a complication.

Contact the original clinic if you have treatment records, including the product name and injection date. Do not massage firmly, inject another product or attempt a home remedy without medical advice. The clinician may examine the lips, discuss observation, staged dissolving or another treatment.

Fat Transfer is different from an injectable hyaluronic-acid product and is not removed with the same enzyme. Tell the practitioner about allergies, medicines, previous reactions and any dental or cosmetic procedures around the mouth.

Get urgent medical help for severe or worsening pain, pale or dusky skin, spreading redness, fever, blisters, facial weakness, vision changes or trouble breathing. A new hard lump, persistent ulcer or drainage also needs prompt clinical review.
