What should you know about Rejuran S subcision?

Subcision uses a sterile needle or cannula beneath the skin to release fibrous bands that pull a depressed scar downward. The released space can then heal with new connective tissue. Rejuran S may be discussed as an added injectable component, but the exact product, placement, and purpose should be stated clearly before consent.

This approach is mainly considered for selected depressed, tethered acne scars. It is not a universal treatment for every scar: narrow deep scars, raised scars, active acne, or inflamed skin may need a different plan. Acne scar laser treatment may be considered for surface texture, sometimes as part of staged care.

Tell the clinician about medicines, bleeding tendencies, allergies, active breakouts, cold sores, previous scars, and any history of prolonged swelling. Ask how the product is sourced and whether the procedure will be performed with local anaesthetic. Do not agree to a combined treatment without understanding which part addresses release and which part addresses skin quality.

Bruising, swelling, tenderness, and temporary firmness can follow subcision. Keep the area clean, avoid pressure or picking, and follow the dressing and activity instructions. Attend review if advised so healing and scar response can be checked.

Contact the clinic for increasing pain, warmth, spreading redness, pus, fever, or swelling that is getting worse. Seek urgent help for breathing difficulty, rapidly spreading facial swelling, severe skin colour change, or vision symptoms after an injectable component.

Ask what scar type you have, where release will occur, what Rejuran S is expected to add, whether staged treatment is safer, what recovery involves, and how a poor or uneven response would be managed.
