What should you know about Regoxidine foam?

Topical minoxidil acts on hair follicles during the growth cycle. It may help maintain or improve scalp coverage when the diagnosis suits it, but it does not correct every cause of shedding. Sudden loss, patchy bald areas, scalp scale, pain, or scarring needs a diagnosis rather than self-treatment alone.

Initial irritation, dryness, itching, or unwanted hair on nearby skin can occur. Some people notice increased shedding early in treatment as follicles shift through their cycle. Benefits require consistent use and can fade after stopping, so the plan should be discussed with a clinician.

Apply it only as directed to a dry scalp and wash your hands afterwards. Keep it away from the eyes, broken skin, and children. Do not apply extra product to compensate for a missed application. Tell a clinician about heart or blood-pressure conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding, scalp disease, and all medicines.

Stop and seek advice if severe irritation develops. If foam gets into the eyes, rinse with clean water. A clinician may compare topical treatment with oral minoxidil or investigate causes such as alopecia areata, pattern hair loss, telogen effluvium, traction alopecia, or scalp ringworm.

Seek prompt medical advice for chest pain, fainting, a fast or irregular heartbeat, marked dizziness, sudden swelling, or severe headache after use. Arrange assessment for rapid or unexplained loss, inflamed scalp, or loss involving eyebrows or body hair.
