Reduce a trigger only if you notice a clear link; common examples include rich meals, spicy foods, caffeine, or alcohol.

A clinician can examine your throat, review medicines, and decide whether reflux treatment or testing is suitable. Hydration and gentle voice use may ease irritation while the cause is being assessed.
