How to Reduce Fat Under the Chin

Submental fullness may be influenced by inherited fat distribution, changes in weight, ageing skin, or the shape of the jaw and neck. Arrange medical review for a new, hard, painful, fixed, or growing lump, uneven swelling, skin changes, trouble swallowing, voice change, or unexplained neck symptoms. After treatment, contact the provider for severe pain, marked redness, fever, difficulty swallowing, or new facial weakness. Urgent symptoms should not be treated as ordinary post-procedure swelling.
