Razor bump scars on the pubic area: what to know

A bump may begin when a cut or plucked hair curves back into nearby skin. Swelling and scratching can settle while leaving post-inflammatory darkening; repeated inflammation can also produce a firm, raised spot. A tender, warm, draining bump may be ongoing folliculitis rather than a scar. Skin in the pubic region can be sensitive, so appearance alone cannot identify the cause.
