Rash Under the Breast Fold: Meaning and Care

A smooth red, tender crease with burning commonly accompanies Intertrigo. When moisture remains against inflamed skin, yeast or bacteria may add small spots, odour, crusting or discharge. Ringworm tends to form an enlarging scaly edge. Atopic Dermatitis may be dry and intensely itchy, and Contact Dermatitis may begin after contact with a detergent, dye, metal or skincare ingredient. Rinse away sweat and cleanser, then dry the fold carefully with a soft towel; cool air from a fan can help if the skin tolerates it.
