Punch excision scar removal: benefits and healing

This treatment is a focused surgical change rather than a cream applied over the whole face or body. It can be considered for certain narrow, depressed scars, especially when a scar's depth makes surface-only treatment less suitable. The clinician chooses the punch size and closure based on the scar and nearby skin.
