What should you know about Pramana digital pathology?

After tissue is fixed, embedded and cut into thin sections, a scanner creates a digital image of the slide. A pathologist can inspect the image at different magnifications, mark areas of interest and compare findings with clinical information. Image tools may help locate or measure features, while the qualified pathologist remains responsible for interpretation.

Digital review can support collaboration when specialists are in different locations and can make selected images easier to discuss during a multidisciplinary review. It cannot correct a poorly preserved sample, replace missing clinical history or guarantee that every important feature is captured by a scan.

Ask whether the original glass slides, tissue blocks or digital images were reviewed, whether the scan was technically adequate and whether extra stains or molecular tests are recommended. Confirm how your identity and images are protected and which clinician will combine the report with imaging, examination and other results.

Digital pathology itself does not cause symptoms. Contact your clinical team promptly if you have new bleeding, rapidly worsening pain, breathing difficulty, severe weakness or other symptoms for which you were given urgent instructions. Do not delay care while waiting for an image review or a second report.

Ask what the tissue shows in plain language, how certain the interpretation is, whether the sample is adequate, which findings change treatment, and when the final integrated plan will be discussed.
