What should you know about pork allergy rash?

Food allergy can cause itchy raised welts, facial or lip swelling, flushing, stomach symptoms, coughing, wheezing, or throat tightness after exposure. A reaction may also relate to an ingredient, seasoning, preservative, cross-contact, or another food eaten at the same time. A delayed or dry itchy rash may fit atopic dermatitis, while a rash where food touched the skin may be contact dermatitis. Heat rash, psoriasis, ringworm, scabies, intertrigo, or a drug rash can look different and need different care. The timing, symptoms, and examination matter more than the label pork rash.
