Short answer

Non-stop panic attacks need calm immediate steps, assessment of physical symptoms, and support if episodes keep returning.

This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

What repeated panic can mean

A panic attack is a sudden surge of fear or alarm that can bring a racing heart, fast breathing, chest tightness, shaking, sweating, dizziness, or numbness and tingling. The intense wave often settles, but fear of another episode can keep the body on alert and make symptoms seem continuous. Panic disorder is a condition in which unexpected attacks recur and worry or avoidance affects daily life; recurrent panic symptoms can also overlap with physical problems, medication effects, or stimulant use. Chest tightness, palpitations, and feeling anxious deserve careful attention rather than self-diagnosis.

What you can do now

Move to a quiet place and sit with your feet supported. Breathe gently, allowing the out-breath to be a little longer than the in-breath, without forcing deep breaths. Loosen tight clothing, sip water, and name a few things you can see or feel to orient yourself. Avoid caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, and non-prescribed medicines while symptoms are active. If attacks recur, arrange a GP Consultation or Mental Health Assessment; a clinician can review triggers, medicines, sleep, and physical symptoms and discuss suitable treatment.

When to seek urgent care

Seek urgent medical help for new or severe chest pressure, fainting, marked breathlessness, weakness on one side, confusion, blue lips, or symptoms that feel different from previous attacks. Get immediate help if you may harm yourself or cannot stay safe. Even when panic seems likely, persistent palpitations, repeated vomiting, or symptoms after taking a substance should be assessed promptly.

Questions for your doctor

Could a physical condition or medicine be contributing to these symptoms? What should I do during the next attack? Would talking therapy, medication, or both suit my pattern?

Questions people ask

Can panic symptoms feel continuous?

A single attack usually rises and settles, but repeated attacks, ongoing alertness, or worry can make distress feel continuous and warrants assessment.

Should chest symptoms be assumed to be panic?

No. New, severe, or unusual chest symptoms need urgent medical assessment, especially with fainting or breathlessness.
