What should you know about MTF fat transfer breast augmentation?

Short answer
MTF fat transfer breast augmentation uses your own fat to increase breast volume while also contouring a donor area.
This answers one question. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace an assessment by a licensed doctor.

Understanding the approach
A surgeon removes fat from a suitable donor area, processes it and injects it into planned breast zones. The transferred tissue requires a blood supply, and early swelling does not represent the settled result. Volume, projection and symmetry depend on anatomy, available fat and how the tissue heals.
Unlike Dermal Fillers, this approach does not place a manufactured gel in the breast. Your assessment should include chest anatomy, hormone treatment, previous operations, breast health and the limits of the technique.
Planning and aftercare
Tell the surgeon about medicines, nicotine, allergies, medical conditions and any previous chest or abdominal procedures. Clarify the planned donor site, incision locations, support garments, movement restrictions, follow-up and whether a staged plan may be safer for your goals.
During recovery, bruising, swelling and tenderness may affect both areas. Keep dressings and wounds as instructed, avoid pressure or strenuous activity until cleared, and attend reviews to monitor healing and contour.
Warning signs after surgery
Contact the surgical team for increasing redness, heat, drainage, wound opening, worsening asymmetry or escalating pain. Seek emergency help for breathlessness, chest pain, fainting, sudden weakness or a painful swollen leg.
Questions to bring
Ask what volume and shape are realistic, how weight changes may affect the result, whether additional sessions could be considered, and how future breast screening will work. Discuss Fat Transfer and other alternatives in relation to your anatomy and priorities.

Questions people ask
Is this the same as implant augmentation?
No. It transfers your own fat rather than placing an implant, and the achievable change depends on donor tissue and healing.
Why can the breast look different during recovery?
Swelling and bruising change gradually, so the early appearance is not the final contour.
