What should you know about hydrafacial under eyes?

A practitioner may adapt the handpiece, suction and products for the skin beneath the eyes, keeping solutions away from the eyelids and eye itself. The treatment may refresh dry-looking skin or smooth surface texture, but it cannot remove every cause of dark circles, hollows, bags or fine lines. Those concerns can arise from anatomy, pigmentation, allergies, sleep, irritation or volume change.

The eye area is not a place for improvised home suction or unapproved acids. Tell the practitioner about contact lenses, eye disease, allergies, dermatitis, recent injections, surgery and products that make the area sting. Treatment should be postponed when the skin is cracked, infected or actively inflamed.

After treatment, avoid rubbing the eyes and use only products approved for the area. Protect the face from sunlight and pause irritating cosmetics until the skin feels settled. Do not place a solution into the eye; rinse with clean water and obtain advice if accidental contact causes continuing symptoms.

Promptly contact the clinic for persistent eye watering, gritty sensation, swelling, burning, rash or increasing redness. Seek urgent assessment for eye pain, light sensitivity, discharge, facial swelling with breathing difficulty or any change in vision. These symptoms should not be explained away as routine cosmetic redness.

Ask whether the practitioner routinely treats the under-eye area, what ingredients will be used, how the eye will be protected, and which of your eye medicines or skincare products matter. Confirm what symptoms require same-day help.
