How long does ovulation induction take to work for anovulation?

Treatment usually begins early in a menstrual cycle or after bleeding is medically induced. Your clinician may use ultrasound, hormone tests, or both to see whether a follicle is developing and when ovulation is likely. If ovulation does not occur, the dose or medicine may be adjusted in a later cycle. A positive ovulation signal shows that the ovary responded; it does not confirm fertilisation or pregnancy.

Take each medicine exactly on the schedule provided, and attend monitoring appointments even when you feel no change. Record bleeding, medication days, ovulation-test results, and symptoms. Ask how intercourse or insemination should be timed. Tell the clinic about medicines, supplements, irregular bleeding, or a possibility of pregnancy before starting another cycle.

Contact your fertility team promptly for severe pelvic pain, marked abdominal swelling, repeated vomiting, breathing difficulty, faintness, or heavy bleeding during treatment. These symptoms need assessment for a treatment reaction or another urgent problem. Contact the clinic as well if monitoring shows no follicle response or if you have a positive pregnancy test and pain or bleeding.
