Hepatitis B symptoms: Tagalog guide

Hepatitis B affects the liver. Some people feel completely well. Others may notice fatigue, poor appetite, nausea, low fever, joint aches, discomfort on the right side of the upper abdomen, yellow eyes or skin, dark urine, or pale stools. Symptoms can appear together, separately, or not at all.

These symptoms have many possible explanations. Fatigue by itself does not identify hepatitis B, and dark urine may also have causes unrelated to the liver. Testing can show whether infection is present and whether further assessment is needed. Arrange a medical appointment if symptoms persist, return, or follow a possible exposure. Tell the clinician about previous test results, household contact, sexual exposure, tattoos or procedures, and medicines or supplements. Do not stop prescribed treatment without advice.

Seek prompt medical care for yellowing that is worsening, repeated vomiting, severe abdominal pain, unusual bleeding, increasing sleepiness, or confusion. Go to urgent care for collapse or difficulty staying awake. These warning signs can signal a serious liver or other medical problem and should not be assessed at home.
