Hard lump in pubic area under the skin: what to know

Pubic skin can develop an ingrown hair, inflamed follicle, cyst, scar, or boil after shaving, waxing, sweating, or rubbing. A boil often becomes increasingly tender, red, warm, or soft in the centre.
