What should you know about groin heat rash?

Heat rash may show as clusters of tiny bumps or a fine rash in the groin fold, particularly after sweating, hot weather, exercise, or occlusive clothing. Stinging or prickling can be more noticeable than pain. Skin redness and skin bumps can also result from contact dermatitis, yeast overgrowth, folliculitis, or friction, so a spreading edge, scale, pus, blisters, or marked tenderness deserves a closer look.
