What should you know about got itchy feet?

Athlete's foot often affects spaces between the toes or the soles with scaling, peeling, or cracking. Contact dermatitis may follow a new shoe, sock, detergent, or foot product. Dyshidrotic eczema can cause intensely itchy small blisters on the sides of the feet or toes. These patterns overlap, so itch alone cannot identify the cause.

Wash gently, dry carefully between the toes, change damp socks, and use breathable footwear. Do not share towels or footwear if a fungal infection is possible. Stop a newly introduced fragranced product and avoid scratching. A clinician or pharmacist can advise whether topical antifungal treatment fits the pattern; steroid creams can worsen some infections when used without guidance.

Arrange medical advice if symptoms persist, recur, spread to the nails, or do not improve with appropriate care. Seek prompt help for rapidly spreading redness, warmth, swelling, pus, fever, severe pain, or skin breakdown, particularly if you have diabetes or reduced circulation.

Ask whether the distribution looks fungal, allergic, or eczematous; whether testing is needed; and how long to use the recommended product. Mention new footwear, household contacts with similar symptoms, medicines, diabetes, and any nail changes.
