Gamot sa dyshidrotic eczema: care and treatment

Dyshidrotic eczema, also called pompholyx, produces clusters of deep, fluid-filled blisters on the sides of fingers, palms, toes, or soles. Itching or burning may begin before the blisters appear. As they dry, the skin can peel, crack, and become sore. This condition can present with itchy feet or hand symptoms, but blisters can also have other causes, including infection or contact reactions.

Heat, sweating, stress, irritants, and metal exposure may coincide with flares for some people. A clinician can review the pattern and check whether cracked skin has become infected.

Keep affected skin cool and dry, wash with lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser, and apply a fragrance-free moisturiser after drying. Do not pierce blisters; cover fragile areas with a clean dressing if friction is unavoidable. A prescribed topical corticosteroid can reduce inflammation during a flare when used as directed. Severe or recurring disease may need specialist options such as narrowband UVB phototherapy. Wear breathable gloves for wet work and avoid harsh detergents on bare skin.

Seek medical review if blisters are spreading, painful, oozing, yellow-crusted, or surrounded by increasing warmth and redness. Fever or feeling unwell may signal infection and needs prompt assessment. Get urgent help for rapidly worsening swelling, severe pain, or facial swelling with breathing difficulty.
