ADHD may involve difficulty concentrating, losing track of tasks, forgetfulness, restlessness, impulsive decisions, or trouble organising time. Symptoms can look different across children and adults, and may be more visible at school, work, or home. Sleep problems, anxiety, low mood, learning differences, medication effects, and other health conditions can create similar difficulties. A symptom alone does not establish ADHD; clinicians look at persistence, impact, and patterns across settings.

Keep a short record of situations that cause difficulty, including missed tasks, distractions, restlessness, sleep, and effects on relationships or study. Ask a qualified clinician about a Mental Health Assessment. Assessment may include your history, childhood pattern, current functioning, and information from someone who knows you well. Helpful support can include routines, written reminders, quieter work areas, skills coaching, psychological support, and medicine when clinically appropriate.

Arrange prompt care if attention or impulsivity is causing unsafe driving, serious work or school disruption, substance problems, or severe conflict. Seek urgent help for thoughts of self-harm, loss of contact with reality, or immediate danger. Feeling Anxious or Irritability can occur alongside attention problems and should be discussed rather than self-treated with someone else's medicine.
