Flat skin tag removal: what to know

A typical skin tag is soft and often attached by a narrow stalk, but some are broad-based and appear flat against the skin. Location, color, firmness, surface, and recent change help distinguish it from a mole, wart, cyst, or another lesion. Removal is usually considered for rubbing, snagging, recurrent irritation, or appearance rather than because every tag requires treatment. An uncertain lesion may need a closer examination before any procedure.
