What should you know about filling dark circles under eyes?

Dark under-eye colour can reflect thin skin, visible blood vessels, pigmentation, irritation, lack of sleep, or a hollow that creates a shadow. Filler adds volume beneath selected areas; it does not remove pigment or treat every cause of darkness. A hollow under the eye is a common presentation of tear-trough hollows, while itchy or inflamed skin can occur with atopic dermatitis. After an injection, contact the treating clinic promptly for worsening pain, marked colour change, spreading redness, increasing swelling, fever, or a new visual disturbance. Sudden vision changes, severe eye pain, or weakness on one side of the face require urgent medical attention. Dark circles that begin suddenly with swelling, rash, or other eye symptoms also deserve an examination rather than cosmetic treatment alone.
