What should you know about fillers for under eye circles?

A tear-trough hollow creates a dip between the lower eyelid and cheek. Light can collect in that dip and make the area look darker even when the skin itself is not deeply pigmented. A carefully placed filler, often based on hyaluronic acid, can add support beneath the skin and reduce the shadow. Sudden visual disturbance, severe eye pain, or unusual skin color change needs urgent medical assessment. Persistent puffiness or a new one-sided change also deserves an examination rather than repeated filler.

Ask how much of the appearance comes from a tear-trough hollow, whether another treatment would address pigment or puffiness better, what product is proposed, and what follow-up is available if swelling or asymmetry develops.
