Understanding reactions

Local discomfort may reflect the needle or medicine irritating tissue. Feeling faint can happen around an injection and may improve with lying down. A fever that remains or returns may reflect the underlying illness rather than a side effect. Respiratory infections such as COVID-19 or a common cold can continue while the body recovers, and an injection does not necessarily shorten them.
