What should you know about fat transfer to face?

A clinician removes a small amount of fat, commonly from the abdomen, thighs or another suitable donor area. The fat is processed and placed into precise facial layers. It may be used for the cheeks, temples, under-eye hollows or lips, depending on your anatomy and goals. Swelling, bruising, unevenness and temporary firmness can occur while tissues settle. Contact the treating clinic promptly for worsening pain, spreading redness, increasing warmth, fever, pus, marked one-sided swelling or skin colour changes. Seek urgent medical help for trouble breathing, severe visual symptoms, weakness, confusion or rapidly worsening facial swelling.
