A clinician removes a measured amount of fat with liposuction, processes it, and places small amounts into the area being shaped. The donor site and treatment site both need time to settle. Facial treatment may address hollows, asymmetry, or contour; body treatment may be planned for a specific structural goal. The result can change as swelling fades and the transferred fat settles, so early appearance is not the final assessment.

Men may have thicker skin, stronger facial contours, or different distribution of body fat than women. These differences affect planning rather than making treatment suitable or unsuitable by themselves.

Contact the treating clinic promptly for worsening pain, spreading redness, increasing warmth, drainage, fever, marked one-sided swelling, or a change in skin colour. Breathing difficulty, facial weakness, or sudden vision symptoms need urgent medical assessment. Do not massage, puncture, or inject a new lump unless your clinician tells you to.
