Face Mist for Dry Skin

Dry skin lacks water, oils, or both in its outer barrier. A mist may temporarily wet the surface, but plain water can evaporate and leave tightness if nothing seals it in. Ingredients such as humectants may attract water, while richer emollients help fill gaps between surface cells. Persistent scaling or cracking can also occur with Asteatotic Eczema, Atopic Dermatitis, or Psoriasis, rather than simple dryness alone.

Choose a fragrance-free mist that does not sting, spray it from a comfortable distance, and press a bland moisturiser over slightly damp skin. Avoid alcohol-heavy sprays, strongly scented botanicals, and repeated spraying when the air is very dry. Keep showers lukewarm, cleanse gently, and apply cream after washing. Emollient Therapy can be discussed with a clinician when flaking, itch, or fissures continue despite basic care.

Seek assessment for painful cracks, bleeding, oozing, marked itch, thick plaques, or a rash that does not improve with gentle moisturising. Prompt help is needed for facial swelling, hives, or breathing symptoms after a spray.
