What should you know about eyelid CO2 laser?

A CO2 laser delivers energy to water-rich skin, removing or heating selected layers. Around the eyelids, treatment may be considered for texture, fine lines, or selected scars, depending on skin condition and the treatment plan. The depth and pattern affect intended change and recovery.

An assessment should cover skin tone, healing history, active irritation, eye disease, medicines, and any tendency toward cold sores or abnormal scarring. Laser resurfacing is not suitable for every eyelid concern.

Follow instructions about sun exposure, skincare, makeup, and medicines. During treatment, proper eye protection is essential. Afterward, skin may be red, swollen, tender, or weepy; use only the cleanser, ointment, moisturiser, and sun protection recommended by the treating team.

Contact the clinic promptly for worsening pain, increasing redness, pus, fever, blisters, or delayed healing. Eye pain, light sensitivity, double vision, or any reduction in vision needs urgent eye assessment.
