Sharp, stabbing ear pain

Brief electric or stabbing sensations may occur when nerves around the ear, throat, jaw, or neck are irritated. Ongoing sharp pain may accompany inflammation in the ear canal or a Middle Ear Infection. Pressure from a Common Cold or Sinusitis can affect the ear, and Tonsillitis may send pain toward it.
