Does microneedling help with large pores?

Pores are openings around hair follicles and oil glands. Their appearance can be influenced by oil, congestion, sun-related texture change, skin firmness, and lighting. Microneedling creates small controlled channels that trigger healing and collagen remodeling. Smoother surrounding skin may reduce the visual contrast around a pore.

The treatment will not stop oil production or clear blocked pores by itself. If bumps, blackheads, redness, or acne are present, those concerns may need assessment before a procedure. Treating inflamed skin can increase irritation and make recovery harder.

Have the skin examined so the cause of visible pores and any active acne can be identified. Discuss your skin tone, tendency to develop dark marks, cold sores, medicines, and previous procedures. Follow the practitioner’s instructions before and after treatment; use gentle products, avoid picking, and protect the area from sunlight while it heals.

Get advice if redness, swelling, burning, or tenderness continues to intensify, or if pus, blisters, fever, or spreading pain appears. Prompt review is also sensible when new dark or light patches develop. Do not respond to an uneven result by increasing treatment intensity or using strong exfoliants without guidance.
