Does chickenpox cause fever?

Most people with Chickenpox notice fever around the beginning of the illness, sometimes with tiredness, headache, reduced appetite, or feeling generally unwell. An itchy rash then appears as spots that change into fluid-filled blisters and later crusts. Contact a clinician promptly if the person is pregnant, a newborn, immunocompromised, or has a fever that is persistent or worsening.
