Does biologic therapy treat pustular psoriasis?

Pustular psoriasis causes areas of inflamed skin with pus-filled bumps that are not necessarily caused by infection. It can affect the palms and soles or become widespread. Different patterns can behave differently, so a dermatologist considers the distribution, speed of change, fever, triggers, previous medicines, and other health conditions before choosing treatment.

A biologic works on a selected immune pathway. It may be used alone or with other prescribed care, while moisturisers, gentle cleansing, and dressings can protect irritated skin. Do not squeeze pustules or start an antibiotic without medical advice.
