What should you know about derma microneedling pen?

A pen moves vertically across prepared skin, and the practitioner selects needle depth and passes for the area. The controlled punctures can stimulate a healing response and may be used for some acne scars, fine lines or uneven texture. It is not suitable for every scar, rash or active infection.

Redness, warmth, tightness and pinpoint bleeding can occur during or shortly after treatment. Skin may flake as it settles. Pigment change, infection, prolonged inflammation or scarring are concerns when the indication, settings or aftercare are unsuitable.

Tell the practitioner about active acne, eczema, rosacea, cold sores, keloid scarring, recent tanning, medicines and immune conditions. Ask whether numbing cream is appropriate and confirm that a sterile, single-use needle cartridge will be used.

After treatment, follow the provided cleansing and moisturising plan, protect the skin from sunlight and avoid picking, swimming, saunas and strong active products until advised. Do not share a home device or use a cartridge more than once.
