Dark spots on my neck: what should I know?

A flat patch can develop after a rash, scratching, jewellery friction, or product irritation, and sunlight may make pigment more noticeable. Arrange an appointment if darkening is persistent, spreading, thickened, velvety, itchy, scaly, or accompanied by similar changes elsewhere.
