Dark Spots and Pimples Removal

A pimple is an active inflamed or blocked follicle. A flat brown, grey or red-brown mark left after it settles is often post-inflammatory change, not a remaining pimple. Picking, squeezing and harsh rubbing injure the skin and can deepen the mark or create a textured scar. A spot that is itchy and scaly, or pigment unrelated to a breakout, may have another cause such as melasma, sun spots or tinea versicolor.

Look at whether the area is raised, tender, filled, indented or simply darker. That distinction helps a clinician choose acne care, pigment care or scar treatment.

Wash gently, use non-comedogenic moisturiser, and protect exposed skin from the sun. Follow an acne plan consistently rather than changing products every few days. Seek assessment for painful deep nodules, widespread inflamed acne, repeated scarring, sudden severe breakouts or marks that keep appearing without clear pimples. A changing, bleeding or crusted dark spot should be examined before cosmetic removal. Early acne care can limit ongoing inflammation and new marks.
