The bladder presses toward the front vaginal wall when supporting tissues weaken. Possible experiences include pressure, a vaginal bulge, leakage, urgency or incomplete emptying, although some people have no symptoms. The label alone cannot show whether another pelvic organ is involved or what treatment is appropriate. A pelvic examination clarifies the location and extent. Note symptoms and arrange a gynaecology or pelvic-floor review to discuss therapy, constipation care, pessary fitting and surgery if needed.

Arrange a pelvic-floor or gynaecology assessment if symptoms affect urination, bowel movements, exercise or intimacy. Keep notes about bulging, pressure, leakage and emptying problems. Pelvic-floor physiotherapy, constipation care and a fitted vaginal pessary may help. Surgery can be discussed when symptoms remain troublesome; the choice depends on findings, health and personal plans.

Seek prompt care if you cannot pass urine, have severe pelvic pain, heavy bleeding, fever, or a protruding area that becomes very sore or swollen. A new or worsening vaginal bulge, repeated urinary infection or worsening bowel difficulty also deserves medical review.

Ask which pelvic compartment is affected, whether other prolapse is present, and how the findings are graded. Discuss therapy, pessary support, bowel care, surgery, recovery and the warning signs that should prompt urgent help.
