What should you know about croc sunburn?

Croc sunburn is not a separate medical diagnosis. The phrase usually refers to red, tight, dry, fissured, or peeling skin after substantial ultraviolet exposure. [Sunburn](/conditions/sunburn/) reflects inflammation and injury in the outer skin; discomfort can intensify before the surface begins to peel.
