What should you know about clear away wart remover?

Many wart removers work by gradually breaking down thickened wart tissue. Plantar warts occur on the sole or other weight-bearing areas and may feel tender when walking; pressure can push them inward and make them resemble a callus. A dark dot or rough patch is not enough to diagnose a wart, and corns, calluses, eczema, or another lesion can look similar. Treating the wrong spot can injure healthy skin.

Read the label, protect the surrounding skin if the instructions allow it, and apply the product only to the lesion. Keep it away from eyes, broken skin, and nearby healthy tissue. Do not cut, burn, or share tools used on the wart. Keep feet clean and dry, avoid picking, and cover the area when advised. Stop if severe pain, blistering, spreading redness, or an open wound develops. A clinician can confirm the diagnosis and discuss wart removal or cryotherapy when home treatment is unsuitable.

Arrange an assessment before treating a changing, bleeding, very painful, or unusually coloured lesion, or one whose diagnosis is uncertain. Get medical advice promptly if you have reduced sensation, poor circulation, diabetes, or immune suppression. Seek urgent care for spreading redness, pus, fever, or rapidly increasing swelling.
