What should you know about Claritin for rash?

Claritin contains loratadine, an antihistamine that reduces histamine activity. It is most relevant when a rash is itchy and hive-like, with raised areas that may change location. It is less likely to address the underlying problem when the rash is scaly, blistered, painful, ring-shaped, concentrated in skin folds, or linked to a new medicine.
